The Corona Police Department is requesting assistance in identifying two male suspects who are responsible for committing four armed robberies within a six-hour time period.
The first robbery occurred last night, Sept. 21, at 9:19 p.m. at the USA Gas Station, located at 1205 S. Main St. Two male suspects wearing masks entered the store and demanded money from the gas station clerk. During the robbery, one suspect kept his hand in his pocket, simulating as if he had a weapon.
The second and third robberies occurred at the 7-11 store located at 700 W. Sixth St. Two suspects entered the store at 12:58 a.m., confronted the store clerk and demanded money from the cash register. The same two suspects returned to the store about two hours later where they robbed the same clerk of property belonging to the store.
The fourth robbery was committed at the 7-11 store located at 725 E. Grand Blvd. at about 3:37 a.m. The store clerk told police that two suspects entered the store where one ordered him to the floor while the second suspect robbed a customer for his wallet. Both suspects forced open the register taking all the cash.
Detectives believe the same two suspects are responsible for all four robberies. Suspect #1 is described as a Hispanic male between 17-20 years old, 5’0” tall, approximately 120 pounds, last seen wearing a black shirt, jeans, and a red ski mask covering his face. Suspect #2 is described as a Hispanic male 17 -19 years old, 5’7” tall, approximately 130 pounds, last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt.
